Our Method:
Neurosciences and Cultures for Effective and Lasting Learning
A zero-translation, Comprehensible Input based, and Brain-Friendly method that facilitates language acquisition the way our brains are naturally wired for learning.
The Globetrotters Method emphasizes communication and fluency, reducing the brain fatigue often associated with learning a second language. Instead of translation, we focus on whole language and communication, using cognate words, gestures, and drawings to help students feel and experience the language.
Our approach builds and strengthens language connections in the brain, facilitating new language acquisition. Translation can disrupt these connections and create a dependency on the native language, leading to misunderstandings as words and phrases often cannot be translated directly.
Our coursework is designed to help students practice practical language skills, reinforcing brain connections and promoting fluency. Instead of tests, students are assessed through experiential learning projects that require them to apply their knowledge in real-world scenarios.
The Globetrotters method encourages students to think in the new language by providing “comprehensible input,” enabling faster communication than traditional translation methods.
